I rode bikes as a kid, just bmx bikes in the neighborhood, nothing close to what resembles the sport. I had no idea it could be a sport. — I stop riding for a while. 8 years later I realize there is a mountain bike trail 5 minutes from my house. I start trail running on it and eventually get the bright idea to get a mountain bike. I get a walmart bike at the age of 17 and thought it was peak bicycle technology. I’m telling you that $100 Schwinn was a damn Lamborghini to me at the time. When I started watching downhill mtb videos on youtube, discovered Seth’s Bike Hacks, and got the idea to purchase my first $1000 (holy sh!t 1000 dollars for a bike)… Giant hardtail from my local shop that’s when one crucial moment occurred. The guy at the bike shop told me I should try racing, and asked if I wanted to join their race team. That bike shop was Bike One in Norman, Oklahoma. When I did my first race, it was history.
A Vandoit Ford Transit is the dream.
PANCAKES OR WAFFLES?!
Both, some days are waffle days and some are pancake days.
WHAT PAYS THE BILLS
Proudly, sponsors from my hometown of Oklahoma this year. Without my hometown, this would not be possible! Not only for the finances but for a community to make proud.
